Rice!

As I sit here watching The Millionaire Matchmaker on Bravo I’m just thinking about how great a romantic date is. I don’t care if you are going on a date with a Satanist; she’s going to love a romantic date. You know guys, a little bit of flattery goes a long way. My personal favorite is flowers. Some women say “They are a waste of money.” Here's a secret, those are the women that don’t get any.
Here’s a personal favorite of me and Sam’s… Rice! It has four different locations, two in the city and two in Brooklyn. Oh and get this fellow wheatards, they have a different gluten free menu at each location! Excited? You know it.
You must go to the Rice on 81 Washington Street, its right under the Brooklyn Bridge and they have a bar below it. My selection favorites at Rice include but are not limited to…. Pitcher of sakejito (Absolutely the best drink my palate has come across), Mexican chicken rice soup, arepa (Order it with guacamole, trust me!) and last but not least the Thai banana leaf. Are you drooling yet? I am and I had it last night!

This is absolutely the cutest place to go out to on date night… oh hell, any night! It’s reasonable too! So listen I want you to go out within the next week, take whoever you fancy and go out to Rice. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you… check out the bathrooms. You won’t regret it!

Welcome fellow Wheatards...

This won’t be your average recipe, storytelling blog folks… oh no. I am going to take you deep the life of someone living and surviving in the day-to-day hustle with the added bonus of having Lupus and Celiac disease.
Let me try and build up some hype by telling you a little bit about myself. I’m basically your average auto-immune impaired nineteen year old. Do you know what that’s supposed to entail? Good, neither do I. My life is nothing normal, nor is it extraordinary… it’s just my life. Here, you will see what it is like to live with two very different diseases. I promise to show you some great restaurants, give you some mouth-watering recipes, and hopefully show you that gluten-free isn’t bad at all.
Tomorrow will be my first tip-delivering post, because tonight I am going to make a delicious tomato sauce with some sausage and make a bit of pasta to go with it. I plan to devour this meal as I watch Brothers and Sisters with my boyfriend. Ladies there are two subtle ways to make your man do something…..
1. Withhold heavy petting, if you get my drift.
2. Make a delicious dinner.
In the words of my Grandma “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”
